That’s below the level where this path usually starts to flood.
This flood line starts from years of this gauge’s history — the level the river only tops a few days a year. Reports of a flooded or passable day will tune it to the path itself.
About this path
Waymarked meadow paths between the Severn's two channels just west of Gloucester city centre, carrying the Severn Way and three other long-distance trails. The island floods from the river and on high spring tides — even without rain — and in January 2024 the defences were overtopped entirely.
