About this path
Tarmac towpath around the Severn loop through Quarry Park, past Theatre Severn to the Frankwell footbridge — Shrewsbury's main riverside circuit. The council gates it shut whenever the Welsh Bridge gauge is forecast above 1.6 m, which happens several times most winters; the theatre sections follow at 2.4 m.
