That’s below the level where this path usually starts to flood.
This flood line starts from years of this gauge’s history — the level the river only tops a few days a year. Reports of a flooded or passable day will tune it to the path itself.
About this path
A wide riverside path with almost a mile of Thames frontage along Hurst Park between Molesey and Walton Bridge, popular with cyclists, runners and walkers. Flood-prone enough that the National Trail resurfaced and revetted it in 2022 against high-water scour, and Hurst Park is named in the EA's Molesey flood warning area.
