That’s below the level where this path usually starts to flood.

This flood line starts from years of this gauge’s history — the level the river only tops a few days a year. Reports of a flooded or passable day will tune it to the path itself.

About this path

The National Trust towpath through Guildford from Dapdune Wharf past Millmead Lock towards St Catherine’s and Godalming — a busy walking and commuting route. The Millmead to St Catherine’s stretch went under in November 2022 and again in January 2025, when the towpath flooded and Millmead car park closed.
