About this path
The town-centre riverside park whose paths follow the Avon loop from Town Bridge to Gladstone Road bridge, part of the Avon Valley Path. The Avon burst its banks here during Storm Bert in November 2024 — Chippenham's worst flooding since 1968 — leaving Monkton Park needing weeks of recovery work.
