Over the past year the river reached the level where parts of this path can start to flood on about 9 days, mostly in November to December and February, but didn’t reach the level where it’s usually properly flooded.

At its highest the river stayed 21 cm below the level where the path usually floods properly.

About this path

The quayside promenade either side of Bewdley Bridge, lined with pubs and houses, carrying the Severn Way through town. One of the most frequently flooded streetscapes on the Severn: demountable barriers have gone up on Severnside 29 times since 2006, and the riverside walk is impassable whenever they are deployed.
